What it is & why it matters
Throttle & Grips
The throttle tells the controller how much power you want. Twist-grip (motorcycle feel) and thumb-push are common; both use a Hall sensor outputting 0.8–4.2V (or PWM). Quality grips, a clean Hall signal and waterproof connectors keep response smooth in dust and rain.
Key specs to check
Type Twist / Thumb
Twist feels like a motorcycle
Signal 0.8–4.2V Hall / PWM
Must match controller input
Sensor Hall-effect
Contactless, long life
Connector Waterproof 3/5-pin
Sealed against rain & dust
Grip TPR / Rubber
Anti-slip, comfortable
Cruise Optional
Hold speed without holding
How to choose for Pakistan
- Match signal type to the controller (Hall 1–4V or PWM).
- Choose twist for motorcycle feel, thumb for scooter.
- Insist on waterproof connectors for monsoon use.
- Check for a clean, linear Hall output (no dead zone).
Common buying mistakes
- Signal mismatch → no response or wide-open by default (dangerous).
- Dry connectors corrode in PK humidity → intermittent cut-out.
- Cheap grips loosen and slip under throttle.

Buyer FAQ
Common questions
Twist mimics a petrol bike; thumb is common on scooters and easier for new riders.
A 0–5V Hall throttle on a PWM-only controller won't read — you get no power or stuck power.
Use only IP-rated waterproof connectors and seal the harness entry at the grip.
