What it is & why it matters
Battery Pack
The battery pack stores all the energy the motorcycle uses. Its voltage (V) sets the system, its capacity (Ah / Wh) sets the range, and its chemistry (LiFePO4 vs NMC) sets safety, cycle life and price. For Pakistan's heat, LiFePO4 is the safer, longer-lived choice.
Key specs to check
Voltage 48V / 60V / 72V
Matches motor & controller; 72V gives more speed & torque
Capacity 20–40 Ah
Higher Ah = longer range; typical 30–45 km per 1 kWh
Energy 1.0–3.0 kWh
= Voltage × Ah; the real “range number”
Chemistry LiFePO4 / NMC
LiFePO4: safer, 2000–3000 cycles, better heat tolerance
Cells Prismatic / pouch
Prismatic 100Ah cells common for CKD packs
Weight 8–22 kg
Heavier packs lower acceleration but add range
How to choose for Pakistan
- Match voltage to your motor/controller — a 72V pack will not run on a 60V controller.
- Prefer LiFePO4 for Pakistan summers; it tolerates 45°C+ far better than NMC.
- Ask for the real Wh (V×Ah), not just “Ah” — Wh is what decides range.
- Confirm the pack ships with a matched BMS and proper fuse / breaker.
Common buying mistakes
- Buying on “Ah only” — a 40Ah 48V pack (1.9kWh) beats a 40Ah 60V? No, 60V×40=2.4kWh is bigger.
- Unknown cell grade — cheap pouches swell and fail in heat.
- No thermal fuse — a short can turn violent.

Common questions
LiFePO4. It handles 45°C+ summers, gives 2000–3000 cycles and is far less prone to thermal runaway.
Range ≈ Wh ÷ 25–35 Wh/km. A 2.4 kWh pack ≈ 70–95 km in eco mode, less with heavy load or hills.
Yes — many importers CKD the pack: import prismatic cells + BMS, assemble in Pakistan to save duty and freight.
