What it is & why it matters
Display / Cluster
The instrument cluster shows speed, battery %, range, ride mode and faults. LCD (cheap, clear) and TFT (color, CAN) are common. A CAN link to the controller/BMS gives true SOC and diagnostic codes; a basic one only shows voltage.
Key specs to check
Type LCD / TFT
TFT = color, CAN-capable
Comm UART / CAN
CAN shows true SOC & faults
Readout Speed / SOC / Range
Mode + diagnostic codes
Light Backlit / Auto
Day & night visibility
Mount Handlebar 22–31mm
Standard clamp fit
Ingress IPX5+
Rain-proof
How to choose for Pakistan
- Pick CAN if you want real SOC from the BMS.
- TFT for color maps/modes; LCD for low cost.
- Confirm handlebar clamp size (22/25/31 mm).
- Backlight + IP rating for day-night, rain use.
Common buying mistakes
- UART-only cluster shows voltage-guess SOC that lies near empty.
- Wrong clamp size won't fit your handlebar.
- No backlight = unreadable at night.

Buyer FAQ
Common questions
LCD is cheap and clear; TFT adds color modes and CAN diagnostics if your controller supports it.
CAN lets the cluster read true SOC and fault codes from the BMS/controller instead of guessing from voltage.
Check clamp diameter — most are 22/25/31 mm; match your handlebar.
